The opening game of the season was always going to be a rather hit and miss affair - the team started brightly by winning the toss (a late head call bt the skipper). As the first half started an unusal amount of sweat appeared on most of the forwards foreheads - the idea of running for 40 minutes was beginning to take it's toll. The referee finally blew his whistle, which felt it was about 6 hours later, for half time and the Baa Baas were suprised to find themselves 12 - 0 up! A couple of well worked tries with the ball being passed through many pairs of hands.

As the second half started there was a feeling of excitement which fell away pretty quickly as the London Sweaties scored 5 unanswered tries. The lack of fitness and pre season training took their toll on the boys!

So a disappointing end to the opening game but with a number of promising new recruits the season may hold untold riches!
