Game
2 saw the Baa Baas take on Kew Occassionals - traditionally a game
we like to win more than most! With 23 players to choose from on the
day we were certainly in a strong position although it took a while
for us to gell. The usual early handling errors affected both side
yet a crucial error by the Kew fullback saw James Murray pounce on
his debut for the first of his two tries.
We were caught
in the middle of a thunderstorm during the first half which did not
help handling and there were a few tired legs already (including mine).
Still we turned around at half time ahead. A quick change of personel
and we were ready to go. This was to be our half as we added 27 unanswered
points.
Highlights of
the half included Sam Eltoukhi's great finish to score on the 5 yrd
line! Oh dear, he has been spending too much time with James Johnston!
Jonny Ellis finished of a good forward surge for his try and James
Murray was clean through off a pop pass from Andrew O'Louglin. Oh,
and Roger Smith scored also!!
